This grant is a challenge grant and will provide one-half the funds necessary to expand Mater Dei's Junior Monarch Program.  This program is a free summer school program at four to eight inner-city schools whose students are in need of remedial work prior to being admitted into high school.  The five week program provides early intervention to fifth grade students.
