This grant provides Holt International with the resources it needs to fully establish and fund foster care in the cities of Meihekou and Yanji, and pave the way for domestic and intercountry adoption to occur in Jilin Province, China.  The new foster care projects in Jilin Province answer the immediate needs of 70 children in the region.  Holt plans to expand the number of children it serves in both cities in 2001 and 2002.
