Catholic Relief Services was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to assist the poor and disadvantaged persons in developing countries.  In Eastern Africa, the Republic of Sudan is recovering from famine and cival war.  In North Akot the Dinka tribe is attempting to return to their traditional lands, however, resettlement has been slow because the area has just one clean water source.  With this grant, the CRS will drill wells for water, making it possible for the Dinka to return to their homes and restart their lives.
