Sierra Adoption Services (SAS) is a non-profit adoption agency with a unique mission.  Unlike traditional private adoption agencies, SAS serves those children least likely to be adopted--children with disabilities and children with tragic histories of abuse and neglect.  This grant will fund the "Capital Kids Are Waiting" project which will address the need to find permanent, adoptive homes for the disproportionate number of children in Sacramento County's foster care system.  SAS will work with Sacramento County to identify permanent families for special needs children.
